God of all peoples and places,
Conflicts seem to rage within us, O Lord. There are times when our multiple loyalties pull us in different ways and each demands our time and resources. We want to serve the needs of our nation, our communities, our job, our family, our friends and our church. Our priorities are rearranged by circumstance and need. Unfortunately we place our devotion and service to You near the bottom of the list. Forgive us we pray. Help us, Dear God, to open our hearts to You so that You might sooth our souls and give us clear direction. We hear Jesus’ words when he said “But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” May seek You, O God. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN.
