Prayer for Today, Saturday, July 5

O God of All Creation,

Today we seek Your guidance. The word is changing so rapidly. New technology is amazing for some and frightening for others. The financial concerns of the nation and the world are very real. Politics has been reduced to winning and losing, while the public is held hostage and yearning for statesmen to make the best decisions for the country. Some are concerned that there might be more days than paycheck. Some are dreading a call from the doctor’s office. In the midst of it all, You are our God. Guide us through the storms and squalls of life, O Lord. May we allow Jesus to be our Polar Star to guide our way. You promise us strength for the journey as we turn into Your embrace. Guide us this day, we pray. In Jesus name, AMEN.

Mission Enid begins on Monday. Mission Enid needs volunteers! Sign-up sheets are located in the loggia on the large board. There is something for everyone, and everyone can do something! It will be "all hands on deck" to make Mission Enid a success. Please join the fun! We also need more cookies, ladders, and sandwich bags. . .lots of sandwich bags. The time is now. Jump in and join the fun with 160 youth and adults from around the region.

Below is a post on our Facebook page:

Hi friends! Mission Enid is in need of 2 liter bottles of pop for Friday July 11 at noon (please deliver anytime before Thursday, July 10!). The youth are also collecting rolls of toilet paper in hopes of winning the Golden Toilet award for most toilet paper donated by any church. Can you help? Please bring toilet paper on Sunday! Thank you!! Also, save your empty 2 liter bottles for VBS!

These are exciting times and Mission Enid will have a big impact on the participants and the community.

Please continue to lift up Joyce McCoy and Wayne Galer.

Court Loomis had surgery because of a bowl blockage. He came though OK, which was another miracle.

Cyndi Stuart has asked for prayers for her sister, Karen White, who has been recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia.

We received word that Lowell Kroeker and Cheryl Swanson had knee replacement surgeries in OKC.

Please pray for our family members and friends.

Grace and peace,

John McLemore
