Prayer for Today, Friday, April 6

O Lord,

On this Good Friday, Dear God, we reflect on the horror of crucifixion. So much of the Christian faith in the modern-day seems to focus on celebration and rejoicing, and there is much to celebrate, but we have a tendency to overlook the trials and tribulations, even the horrible crucifixion of Jesus. May we understand, Loving God, that the Christian path leads us to the mountaintops, but it also travels through the valleys. You are with us, regardless of life circumstance, regardless of the joy or the pain, and we give you thanks. It is in Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

Karen Stockwell hopes to be dismissed from the hospital today. Please pray for Karen.

Please continue to pray for Austin Wade and Chester Ross who are still hospitalized.

Looking ahead, the church office will be closed on Holy Monday. There will be no Monday Noon Prayer service.

Tomorrow is our all-church Easter egg hunt and picnic. Join us on the north lawn at 11 AM.
