Prayer for Today, Tuesday, April 3

Compassionate God,

Paul tells us “. . . the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26) May Your Spirit intercede for us today, O Lord, because our prayers seem so inadequate. There are so many around us who are hurting, who are lonely, who are dealing with family issues, and who are struggling to overcome terrible choices. We pray Your Spirit intercede for them. May the grace of Easter bring hope and new life. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

The Faith Leader class had an interesting discussion last night about Scriptures that define our congregation. One that led to significant discussion was John 13:35, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” May our love for one another at Central Christian church be palpable. May this be our witness.

Please continue to pray for Chester Ross who is struggling with pneumonia.

The mass that was removed from Vera French’s lung was malignant, but the surgeon felt they got it all. Please pray for Vera she considers next steps.

Karen Stockwell will likely be released from the hospital on Friday. Please continue to pray for Karen.

The youth will stuff Easter eggs tomorrow evening. We have received a lot of candy, but could probably use more. Please bring your "candy offering" to Sally's office before 5 PM tomorrow.
