God of the Ages,
Today we remember those people who are no longer with us and yet who had great influence on our lives. We celebrate the impact of parents, teachers, aunts and uncles, ministers, youth workers, Sunday school leaders, and church officers. Sometimes the names are lost and the faces fade in our memory, yet their spirit and faith impacted us. Sometimes we stand on the shoulders of those we never knew who built buildings, provided endowments, and left a legacy for future generations, but most specifically we thank You for those who are fresh in our memory, the ones who held us, cared for us, and nurtured us in profound ways. We are so blessed and we give You thanks. May we reflect on those around us who are in our circle of influence. May our faith and love live on in them. In Jesus’ name. AMEN.

We continue to pray for Betty Unruh, Sally Keeler, John Stephens, and Bill Stephens.
Sunday we will honor our high school seniors during both 10:15 a.m. services of worship. There will also be a breakfast for the seniors, their parents and members of the youth group at 9:15 in the loggia. Tables with each graduate’s display will be fun to view. Join us Sunday as we honor our high school seniors.
Sunday is also Pentecost Sunday when we celebrate the birth of the church. WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
