Compassionate God,
There is deep within us a need to care for and help others. Sometimes we smother that need because our own lives are hectic or in turmoil. Sometimes we suppress it because our greed and self centered attitude wins the day. Please forgive us, Loving God. May we be freed from those circumstances that deflect our desire to be compassionate and do good works. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

The Oklahoma Region is continuing to respond to the needs of the storm victims. This will be a long term recovery. Right now our first and best response is to give to Week of Compassion. Make your check to the church and put Week of Compassion or Storm relief in the memo line.
The surgery to stop Terry Novak’s internal bleeding was not successful. He has received 8 units of blood. Pat and Gail are in Tulsa. A different procedure will be attempted this morning. Please pray for Terry.
Please pray for the family of Alvin Rogers. He died yesterday evening in an OKC hospital. Al is a long time family friend of the McLemore’s.
