Prayer for Today, Friday, October 25

O Divine Presence,

Please shine your light on us, on Your church and on the way before us. The future is uncertain, yet You call us to be faithful in all things. Please remind us of Your love and help us be attentive to Your beckoning voice which calms us and assures us as we step into the unknown. Lead us on, O Lord. We pray this prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

________

As far as we know, John Stephens at the Bass Pavilion is our only member or friend that is hospitalized. If there is someone you know in the hospital, please contact the church office. Of course we will continue to pray for John.

Please pray for our church as members and friends are prayerfully considering their Estimates of Giving for 2014. So far we have received 55 Estimates. Our goal is 215 to 225. November 3rd is our Consecration Sunday. We would like for this process to be completed by then.

The CWF Bazaar is just around the corner. If you are doing crafts at home, please bring them to the church by MONDAY, October 28th, at 4:00 p.m. Baked goods are to be brought to the church by November 7th at 4:00 p.m.

The CACS/Civitan Dance is tonight. Come and support this outreach effort.

Trunk or treat is Sunday, October 27, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Everything will take place in the SW parking lot. If you want to provide candy, bring it to the church office.

Sunday we are taking a few moments to celebrate the 120th Birthday of the church. You are invited to gather in the loggia at 9:45 for music, refreshments, and a few brief comments. There will also be a display of a few items from our past. Of course both worship services will begin at 10:15.

We made arrangements yesterday for a NEW PICTORIAL DIRECTORY! Watch the Church Visitor and future emails for information on signing up to have your picture made. There is no cost or obligation and everyone who has a picture made will get a free portrait and a new directory.

Grace and peace,

John McLemore
