Prayer for Today, Tuesday, October 15

O God,

No words can describe the mystery that is You. No belief system is complete and all inclusive. You are beyond our understanding, yet we have glimpses of You that give us hope and bring us comfort. Please be with those who are grieving without faith. May they feel Your embrace. May the power of Your spirit move them to consider, not graven images or wordy creeds, but the reality of Your love, even in the midst of distress and sorrow. Life without You is life without hope. Please reveal a part of Yourself so that the hurting will see beyond the ashes. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
