Loving and Gracious God,
Today we set aside many of the pressures and tribulations of weekly life to assemble and bring our worship to You. We do so because You beckon to us and we choose to respond. We do so, not because life is so good or life is so bad, rather we do so to honor You and give You thanks and praise. We pray for those gathered and for those unable to be present. May all Your children know Your love and Your grace. May all Your children feel Your embrace and sing songs of adoration. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Please pray for Karen Stockwell as she mourns the death of her son.
Please continue to pray for Roy Smith and Bob Greenhaw. Bob will likely be released today. Roy will be in the hospital a little longer.
Please offer prayers for Bill Maxwell (not the attorney) who is suffering from kidney stones in Mercy hospital. Please also pray for his wife Betty.
Today is the Horn of Plenty Food Drive. We have a number of teams. If you want to help, let me know this morning.
The bus will leave at 1:45 p.m. for the Elder training in Cherokee sponsored by the NW Area. We have a number of Elders who are attending.
I am back in the pulpit at the 8:00 a.m. chapel and 10:15 sanctuary services.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
