Prayer for Today, Tuesday, October 1

Holy Presence,

Our hearts are filled with joy and thanksgiving as we experience cooler weather and beautiful days. We are so blessed, O Lord. There are times when life’s circumstances cloud our perspective, when our vision is narrowed and we see only what troubles us. Please free us from these restraints, O God. May we embrace the wonder of life that is all about us. May we realize there is more good than bad in life and there is more to celebrate than to lament. We give You thanks and praise through Jesus Christ, our Lord, in whose name we pray. AMEN.

______

Roy Smith had successful heart surgery yesterday with four bypasses and a replaced valve. Please pray for Roy and Dee as Roy now begins his road to recovery.

Doris Ross has been released from the hospital. We assume she has gone to Edmond. Please continue to pray for Doris.

My skin cancer surgery went well. I now have a black eye, half an eyebrow and a crescent shaped incision. I won’t be seen in public for a couple of days, but other than that I am fine.

REMEMBER: the CWF general meeting and luncheon will take place tomorrow, but there will not be an Executive Board Meeting.

Please pray for our congregation. May we be open to where God is leading us.

Grace and peace,

John McLemore
