Loving God,
So often we believe we live in the center of the universe where everything was placed for our benefit. How foolish can we be? Please forgive our hubris. Help us, O Lord, realize that we are insignificant and only specks on the tapestry of life. In the midst of all creation, however, help us to understand that we are significant to You. We were made, not to lord over all of life, but to live in harmony with You and all around us. You embrace us and give us worth. May we honor You with our humility. May our lives reflect the dignity You see in us and in all those around us. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
