Loving God,
We pray for our country, O Lord. We, as a nation, are blessed in so many ways. Unfortunately we are in a situation now when politics and ideology seem to outweigh the common good. We pray, O Lord, for statesmen to step forward and for those on the extreme left and the extreme right to take a back seat. Guide the congress, we pray, so that good may prevail. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Melissa Yniguez is having outpatient surgery (tonsils) this morning at Bass hospital.
Ken Slack is still a patient at Bass.
John Stephens had surgery yesterday and is in ICU at Bass.
Bert Sims is undergoing treatment at St. Mary’s.
Ruth Weston is recovering from outpatient surgery at home.
Please pray for these members and friends.
WWNF activities begin at 5:30 p.m. Amanda Phillips is ill so I will be teaching the class.
Please pray for our church, particularly as we are underway in our Fall Stewardship Program.
