Prayer for Today, Monday, October 28

Loving God,

We have family and friends that are facing difficult times in their lives. Some are awaiting diagnoses. Some are longing to hear from a prodigal child. Some are struggling as everyday tasks are getting more difficult. Please be with them, Gracious God. May Your spirit surround them so that they can find strength and peace. Help us, O Lord, to be attentive to their needs and surround them with our love. May we be assured that You walk with all Your children, even in the midst of life’s trials. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Yesterday was a good day at Central. We had fun with our 120th anniversary and our Trunk or Treat was an absolute sell-out. Thank you to everyone who made yesterday a success.

We have made arrangements for a NEW PICTORIAL DIRECTORY! Lifetouch studios will be at the church December 9-14! Click the link to make your reservation now! https://www.securedata-trans14.com/ap/centralchristianchurch2/index.php?page=10

Please continue to pray for John Stephens at the Bass Pavilion.

Gary Rogers, Marcia’s husband, is hospitalized at Bass Hospital. Kay Allison’s sister has recently received a difficult diagnosis. Please pray for Gary and Kay’s sister.

Please pray for our church as members and friends are prayerfully considering their Estimates of Giving for 2014. This Sunday, November 3rd, is our Consecration Sunday.

The CWF Bazaar is just around the corner. If you are doing crafts at home, please bring them to the church by MONDAY, October 28th, at 4:00 p.m. Baked goods are to be brought to the church by November 7th at 4:00 p.m. This is now an all-church activity. There will be sign-up sheets in the Sunday School Classes this morning for volunteers, men and women, to help with setup and during the event.

Grace and peace,

John McLemore
