Compassionate God,
We pray today for the bereaved and for those who feel sad and isolated. They are in our church family and our neighborhoods. We remember them all, but especially those who have no close family or whose family are far away. We thank you, Lord, for those volunteers who seek them out, particularly those in our Caregivers Ministry and Grief Ministry. We pray that, as we empathize, listen and offer support, a spark of hope may be ignited in your name. We offer this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The CWF Bazaar is NEXT WEEK. Baked goods are to be brought to the church by November 7th at 4:00 p.m. This is now an all-church activity. Volunteers are needed to help with setup on Tuesday evening, October 5th, particularly men. We have to move a number of long tables into the loggia, some from upstairs. Of course volunteers are welcome during the entire event.

Larry (not Gary, my fingers got ahead of my brain) Rogers, Marcia’s husband, is hospitalized at Bass Hospital. Kay Allison’s sister, Donna Kunz, has recently received a difficult cancer diagnosis. Please pray for Larry and Donna.
Delores Oringderff will have back surgery tomorrow. Please pray for Delores.
Marjorie Foster is continuing to have health issues. She is at her home with help coming in. Please pray for Marjorie.
Please pray for our church as members and friends are prayerfully considering their Estimates of Giving for 2014. This Sunday, November 3rd, is our Consecration Sunday. We are still waiting on a number of Estimates. PLEASE get yours to the office this week.
